I have lived in East Devon for most of my life and wouldn’t want to live anywhere else, I love the availability of fantastic food right on our doorstep from farms, delis, independent producers and more. In recent years, thanks in part to local investment and trends filtering down from Bristol and other cities, the food scene has taken off.
With more new restaurants than you can shake a stick at, the old school local legends that we love so much, coffee brewers, bars, an incredible street food scene and so much more that I haven’t even mentioned, the East Devon food landscape is amazing! That all of this comes with the backdrop of the Jurassic Coast makes me realise how lucky we are.
In setting up East Devon Eats, I wanted to create somewhere to enable me to ramble on about food and encourage you all to ramble along with me. I’ll try to keep it as orderly as possible with reviews, recipes, the odd interview and a low down on what’s happening locally on the food front. Keep an eye out for the odd themed week and feel free to get involved – the kitchen door is always open!
My personal interests are baking, breakfast and trying to make a perfect sourdough. I’m also horribly shallow and can often be found scrolling through Instagram for crazy food trends and marvelling at the beauty of smoothie bowls.
